THE STORY:
Inspired by the beautiful country side of England, this painting was a surprise as I started with a brilliant red as the undercoat. Vibrant greens with periwinkle layered on top until all of a sudden the red came alive and begged not to be covered up. The overcast, rainy grey sky of the UK is subtle and offsets the brightly colored fields. This warm happy landscape is unusual and a favorite.
