THE STORY
I originally painted these with a particular room in a client's home in mind. The walls had been lined in a beautiful paper by another artist and it was next to this that I painted three soft, calming scenes of the Greek Island of Milos. In the end I lucked out and got to keep them. I hung them for a long time around my own home. They were featured on a television design show on HGTV. One of the three turned out to be a real breakthrough for my style and work. Restrained, pared-back, almost geometric in nature. I've learned a lot from this painting.
